Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

By installing or using the Glens mobile application (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

2. The service

Glens is a self-tracking tool for people managing diabetes. It lets you log glucose, blood pressure, weight, medication doses, and meals; set reminders; view trends; and interact with an AI companion. It is provided as a convenience and is not a substitute for professional medical care.

3. Medical disclaimer

Glens is not a medical device. Glens does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition.

AI-generated estimates of carbohydrates, sugar, or glycemic impact are approximate. Do not use them as the sole basis for insulin dosing, medication decisions, or any other medical decision.

Always consult a qualified doctor, endocrinologist, or diabetes care team for medical decisions. In an emergency (severe hypoglycemia, diabetic ketoacidosis, hyperosmolar state, etc.) contact your local emergency services immediately.

4. License

Subject to these terms, Glens grants you a personal, non-transferable, revocable, non-exclusive license to install and use the App on devices you own or control.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Some features (“Pro”) require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Refunds, renewals, and cancellation are handled by Apple / Google under their respective policies; manage your subscription in your App Store or Play Store account settings.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App;
• Use the App for any illegal purpose;
• Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the App or any service it depends on;
• Use the App to harm or harass any person.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of every entry you log in the App. You grant Glens a limited license to process that content only as needed to provide the features you actively trigger (for example, sending a food photo to the AI proxy when you tap Analyze).

8. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services for some features, including a third-party AI provider (for chat, voice, and food-photo analysis), a third-party subscription-management service, Google Drive (optional backup), and Apple / Google for billing. Use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. Uninstalling removes all local data. We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glens and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the App. Glens’s total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction TBD — to be confirmed by the publisher], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll update the Last updated date and surface a notice on first launch after a material change.
